Samie Gebers

Samie Gebers is a multimedia journalist who recently joined the 3 TV – CBS 5 team as the 7th annual James Alan Cox Foundation photojournalism intern.  While this is her first time with a broadcast news station, she was a photographer, videographer and staff writer at her hometown paper, The Signal, in Santa Clarita, California. She fell in love with feature storytelling and creating visual content in community college and is now pursuing that dream at Arizona State University. As she says, “Telling an amazing, heartwarming story in a visual and creative way is something that I strive for and take great pride in.”

Samie has a passion for all components of journalism: writing, shooting, and editing. It is her goal to one day work at a news station where she will be able to concentrate on feature, visual content. A website, containing many samples of her work, can be found at: https://samiegebers.weebly.com
